Great for reading with kids and adults. I like that it doesn’t “try too hard,” just picks a single, simple meditation from the book and allows the reader to take it as much deeper as helpful.

On first read–and I definitely plan to read it again–this book was profoundly helpful for me in understanding the black point of view. Its bleakness is troubling, but I think that’s the point. Sometimes we need to sit in our pain for a while rather than just looking for a quick “solution” to salve our conscience.
